Samsung and Google have teamed up to produce the series 5 “Chromebook”. The 12, 1-inch notebook computer weighs 3.3 kg and measures only 0.79 inch thin. Samsung calls it a Chromebook because it is running Google chrome operating system. Samsung says that the notebook is good for 8.5 hours of battery life or five hours to watch video.
Notable features of the Samsung series 5 Chromebook include a 16: 10 aspect ratio screen with 300 nit brightness and an anti-glare coating, a full-size keyboard, oversized touchpad, a start time of less than 10 seconds, a HD webcam, two USB ports, and Intel dual core processor (model not specified). The battery in the notebook is rated up to 1000 longer than conventional batteries cycles or three times for a lifetime. The notebook will be available with built-in Verizon 3 G mobile broadband access.

The Samsung series 5 Chromebook to 15 June 2011 from Amazon.com and BestBuy.com. The WiFi + 3 G model will retail for $499.99 and Wi-Fi only model $429.99.
